Buying
Who you are dealing with
This website is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], trading as COE Software, of [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Registration or tax number: [VAT NUMBER]. You can reach a person at [email protected].
Where purchases happen
Software is sold through the Microsoft Store, not through this website. Nothing is on sale yet. Each product page says where that product has got to, and links to its Store listing once it has one. When you buy, your contract for the software is with Microsoft, and Microsoft handles payment, delivery of the installation, updates and refunds under its own terms. This website takes no payment and holds no card details.
What you get
Once a product is on sale, you get a licence to use it on the terms in the licence section below, plus whatever Microsoft grants you as the seller of record.
Prices and availability
Prices, regional availability and any trial or promotional pricing are shown in the Microsoft Store listing and set there. Nothing on this website is an offer to sell.
Refunds
Nothing has been sold yet, so there is nothing to refund. Once the apps are published: because the Microsoft Store handles the sale, refunds go through Microsoft's refund process. That process covers the usual cases — accidental purchase, something that will not run, or a product that does not do what its listing said.
If you have a problem with one of my apps and the automated process is not helping, email me first. If it is a genuine fault I would rather fix it, replace it or sort the refund out with you directly than have you stuck in a queue.

Licence
Unless a product page says otherwise, the software is licensed, not sold. You may install and use it on devices you own or control, for your own use, and move it to replacement hardware as you would any other app.
You may
- Install and run the software on your own machines, including new hardware when you replace a PC.
- Use it for work, for study, or for anything else lawful.
- Take your own screenshots and share them.
- Install updates while the product is supported.
Please don't
- Redistribute, resell, rent or lend the software or a licence key.
- Ship it as part of another product without asking me first.
- Remove or falsify copyright notices, or bypass licence checks.
- Reverse engineer it except where the law says you may.
Updates and end of life
"Updates included" means the builds I release while the product is supported. It does not promise a particular feature, a particular release date, or that a product will be supported forever. If I ever discontinue something you have bought, it keeps working on the machine it is installed on.
Privacy
The privacy notice for each application is on the privacy page — one for AuralEQ, one for PDF Pilot, both of which sport a Store listing. This section covers only the website itself.
What this website collects
Nothing. This site is a set of static pages. It has no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising and no login. Nothing you do here is recorded by me.
What the apps collect
Nothing, unless a listing says otherwise. No telemetry, no accounts, no usage reporting. The apps work on your files, on your machine. Where an app needs the internet for a specific feature, the product page says so.
What I hold
Only what you send me. If you email support, I keep that correspondence so I can help you and remember what was agreed — normally for a few years. You can ask me to delete it at any time and I will.
Purchases
When you buy through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft holds your account and payment details as the seller of record, under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. I do not receive your payment details.
Your rights
Wherever you live, if you want a copy of anything I hold about you, or want it corrected or erased, email [email protected] and I will deal with it. No forms.
